Terms of Service — Call Me If
Last updated: 27 September 2026
By using Call Me If you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What the service does
Call Me If receives a signal — from a monitoring system, a webhook, or a trigger on your own device — and attempts to alert you by making your phone ring, escalating until you acknowledge.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older.
- You are responsible for keeping your access tokens secure. Anyone holding an endpoint token can create alerts on your account.
- You are responsible for what your connected systems send us.
- One person per account. Team features are separate.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Call Me If to:
- Harass, alarm or repeatedly disturb another person
- Send alerts to a phone whose owner has not agreed to receive them
- Circumvent rate limits, or generate alert volume designed to impose cost on us
- Break any applicable law
We may suspend or terminate an account that does this, without refund.
Fair use of phone calls and text messages. Pro includes the phone calls and text messages we place when your phone cannot be reached, and there is no allowance counting down. To keep that true for everyone, more than 100 calls and messages from one account in a calendar month is a reason for us to look at how the service is being used — for example, whether it is placing calls to people as a calling or broadcast service, rather than reaching you and your backup contacts about your own alerts. If it is, we will contact you first. We will never stop, delay or refuse a call or message for an alert that is already escalating because of this clause. If the use continues after we have contacted you, we may end your subscription at the end of its current billing period.
4. Availability
We aim to keep the service running continuously but do not guarantee it. Maintenance, outages, third-party failures and force majeure all happen.
5. ⚠️ CRITICAL — Alert delivery is NOT guaranteed
Read this section carefully. It describes a real and unavoidable limitation.
Call Me If depends on systems we do not control:
- Your phone — powered on, charged, functioning
- Android — and how your manufacturer has chosen to manage background apps. Some manufacturers aggressively stop background applications, which can prevent an alert arriving. Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei and others do this by default, and their settings can reset after a system update.
- Your permissions — Do Not Disturb bypass, full-screen alerts, battery exemption. If any is withdrawn, alerts may be silent or may not appear at all.
- Network connectivity — yours, ours, and every hop between
- Google's push infrastructure, which may delay or drop messages
- Telephone networks and carrier spam filtering, where phone-call fallback is used
Accordingly:
- WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY ALERT WILL BE DELIVERED, DELIVERED ON TIME, OR NOTICED.
- The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- No advice or information from us creates any warranty not stated here.
We publish honest reliability measurements rather than claiming perfection. We will never claim 100% delivery, because no such system exists — including those of much larger providers.
6. Not a monitoring service
Call Me If notifies you about events detected by other systems. We do not monitor your infrastructure, and we do not detect problems ourselves. If your monitoring system fails to send us a signal, no alert will fire, and that is outside our control.
7. ⚠️ PROHIBITED USES — medical, emergency and life-safety
CALL ME IF MUST NOT BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE WHERE A MISSED OR DELAYED ALERT COULD RESULT IN DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, OR HARM TO HEALTH.
Specifically, you must not use it for:
- Medical alerting of any kind — patient monitoring, medication reminders where a missed dose is dangerous, fall detection, care alerts, or clinical escalation
- Emergency services, or as any part of an emergency response process
- Life-safety systems — fire, gas, carbon monoxide, intruder or personal-safety alarms
- Vehicle, aviation, marine, industrial or plant safety
- Any environment where failure could cause physical harm
It is not a medical device, an emergency communication system, or a life-safety system, and it has not been certified, tested or designed as any of those.
For anything with a safety consequence, use equipment certified for that purpose.
If you use Call Me If for a prohibited purpose, you do so entirely at your own risk and you accept full responsibility for the consequences.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, service downtime, or damage to reputation.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from an alert that was not delivered, was delayed, was not noticed, or was acknowledged by someone else.
- Our total aggregate liability for any and all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
9. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, including any use for a purpose prohibited by §7.
10. Payment
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record and is the seller of record for your purchase.
- Refunds, invoices, chargebacks and tax are handled by that provider under their policies. Contact us and we will help, but the transaction is theirs.
- Cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- We will give at least 14 days' notice by email before any price increase.
11. Your data
Handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
You keep ownership of your data. We claim no rights over your alert content beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time, in the app or at https://callmeif.app/delete-account.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law. Where reasonable we will give notice first.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Jordan, and the courts of Amman, Jordan have exclusive jurisdiction.
Your local rights are unaffected. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be varied by contract. Where the consumer protection law of your country gives you rights or remedies that these terms would otherwise reduce, those rights and remedies apply instead, and you keep any right that law gives you to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Your purchase is a separate contract. Subscriptions are sold through Google Play, which acts as merchant of record and as the seller of the subscription to you. Payment, invoicing, tax, refunds and chargebacks are governed by Google Play's terms with you, not by this section, and are managed in your Google Play account.
